Sink or Win
Sink or Win was created by me and 2 other people in 9 days for the Colorado Lottery Game Jam. The rules for the game jam were pretty specific. We decided to build Sink or Win as a monitor game, so it includes some simulated gambling. The premise is that you pick your boat, hope to catch the most fish, and hope not to be sunk by the sea monster.
For this project, I was in charge of all programming and game logic. I used blueprints for all my programming and I learned a lot of new nodes, and skills to move forward with it. I also animated the Kraken tentacle that destroys the ship.
Currently, the game is a watch and play but if we decide to move forward with this game, we have ideas on turning it into a more interactive experience.
You would ultimately be building the best fishing boat. You would fish to earn money and then spend that money to upgrade your boat. There would be more enemies/events that could damage/destroy your ship.
