First Person AK-47 Reload

12 Principles of Animation

Old Animations

Maya Animations

A collection of animations I’ve done in Autodesk Maya over the years. Through college, Autodesk Maya was our tool of choice and the first program I used in 3D production. After college, I took a hiatus and experimented with other programs, mainly Blender.

Augmented Animator

Collection of exercises and animations made during my mentorship with Rusty Gray’s Augmented Animator program. First exercise was a stand from chair. Next, was a jump forward. We left the arms out to focus on the overlaping action of the spine and hips. Currently, I am working on a soilder shooting from cover behind cover.

Ak-47

This is the first time I have animated from a first-person view. I used Kiel Figgins soldier rig  you get from subscribing to his mailing list. This is the AK-47 rig I used.

12 Principles of Animation

In my free time, I am slowly going through the 12 principles of animation with short exercises. Stay tuned for principles 3- 12.

  1. Squash & Stretch
To get reacquainted with Maya I downloaded Squirrels and did a short test. I had been working and animating with Blender for a while now and my iAnimate class was taught with Maya.
  2. Anticipation
This karate chop exercise, with Stewart, was my first time using a human rig in my return to Maya.

Old Animations

Tactical Gun Draw was an assignment from the Body Mechanics Workshop from CG Society. Unfortunately, I couldn’t spend as much time on this workshop as I would have like to because a situation arose that left me without electricity.

After college, I moved back home and during this time I made two short animations, Roar and Walk Cycle while experimenting with different mediums.
