Blender Animations
A collection of animations I’ve created with Blender. After college, I experimented with other programs. Since Blender was free and had multiple facets (modeling, sculpting, texture painting, rigging, animating, etc) kept working with it.
Troy
Troy is the main character of a music video that’s in development. All assets are original and created with Blender. The idle animations were a quick test I did to test the rig and see if I needed to make any changes to it. After the improvements, I made to the rig I created a walk cycle to get a feel of his character.
Spider
This was my first time creating, rigging, and animating a creature. The walk cycle was a good challenge with managing all the legs. Glitch spider was inspired by fooling around with the mesh skinning and different shaders. I made the Spider Eating Zombie animation after working on the Zombie Pub crawl. I wanted to incorporate the two rigs I was working with into a single project.
Zombie Pub Crawl
Contracted by Video Villains for the Minneapolis Zombie Pub Crawl. Animated, rigged, and modeled multiple characters (Zombie & Spider) to be implemented in a 3D projection visual show. Matched animation settings to the 3D projector for optimal viewing. Animated and rigged the provided model. Matched animation settings to the 3D projector for optimal viewing.
Oceanwave.exe
Created for the /r/blender January contest in 2017. Used an HDR for the lighting. Set up cubes as reflective boxes. Added an ocean modifier to a cube and animated the waves. Used another cube with a shrinkwrap modifier to conform to the waves. Parent floating cubes to the shrink-wrapped cubes to simulate the floating effect. Blend file link.
Twitch Competition
Created for the Twitch Animation Contest. The theme was Game Over. Incorporated some live-action footage with the help of some friends. The competition took place over one month, with some rules/restrictions and one of those was to upload your video to your Twitch channel.
Dancing
This dancing cube guy was a test using rigging in Blender for the first time. Danced is based on the Happy Happy Joy Joy dance from Ren & Stimpy. I also noticed the pace matched up with other songs.
